[Solar-talk] ValidateEmail filter

Hi All

Is there a reason why validateEmail() filter no longer forces the domain part 
to include a dot com or dot whatever. When it was part of Solar_DataFilter it 
did but now not. So:

local at domain - validates
local at domain. - does not
local at domain.c - validates
local at domain.com - validates

I can see no difference in the validation expressions in validateEmail() 
method in the old Solar_DataFilter and new Solar_Filter_ValidateEmail so do 
not understand why.
