So did anybody have any suggestions on the mysql.sock issue? Anybody
else run into this before where /tmp/mysql.sock was not where that
socket was stored?

Subject: [Solar-talk] Possible fix
I fixed the auth error by changing hash to md5 for the function call.
But i'm running into some issues with the fact that the mysql sock is
not in /tmp/mysql.sock. The only solutions I can find is to set the
socket in the connection string but with solar is there a key for
socket? How do you get solar to recognize non-standard(ie. not
/tmp/mysql.sock) for the socket? Mine, for example, is
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock. I've set it in both the mysql and mysqli
default sockets and that's the value in the /etc/my.cnf file as well.
