One more idea:

- For every layout (what goes inside <body>), consider keeping a $layout_top
/ $layout_bottom variables outside of the layout itself. It is useful for
independent or temporary boxes: headers and footers that don't follow the
layout width, for example.

Btw: I tried ___layouts last night and it's super flexible for structures,
much more than YUI Grids because it allows pixel perfect layouts. Also it is
easier to build "grids" with it because they are built following one unique
rule and the names are very simple to remember. Build one and you've built
them all.
