I think it's worth mentioning that #solarphp is *not* the official way
to get help or ask questions. Everything "important" should be sent to
this mailing list so that everyone can see them and because that way
we can go back and see what has been discussed before. I'm not a huge
fan of IRC myself and prefer mailing list for development purposes.
BUT it is a really nice way to chat about Solar and to get help in
some basic questions. If something important comes up at #solarphp it
might be worth sending that to solar-talk for everyone to see :-)

As a side note, you should listen to a podcast "So, You Want to Build
an Open Source Community" at Open Source Conversations[1]. He mentions
something about IRC vs. other medias too. It's also worth listening
regarding our effort to build a Solar community :-)
