Hi. I was searching my e-mail answering a friend and found a reference
to PhpMailer in Solar's todo list:

Possible Ports [...]
Zend_Mail and Zend_Mime? PhpMailer?  ezcMail?

If this helps a bit, I've just evaluated Zend_Mail and found out that
it messes a lot with e-mail bodys, specially if you use a 8-bit
encoding (you know, I try to use UTF-8 where I can). It stayed for
half an hour in my server, and then I went back to PhpMailer, which
has done its job without any trouble. I really thought Zend_Mail was
more advanced at this point; unfortunatelly it is not. If I would port
any, it would be PhpMailer (I'll probably make it work on strict mode
sooner or later).
