[Solar-talk] From LGPL to New BSD?

Technically, even under GPL or LGPL, if I make changes, but don't
distribute the changed 'compiled' code then I do not have to provide
changes back either. Anything used purely internally does not need to be
provided back. If i distribute it in any form I have to distribute the
source code changes as well.

As long as you don't mind people making changes to the framework and
keeping them to themselves, then changing to BSD makes using Solar much
simpler.
