I've done a small script that makes easier to generate $_col
definitions for sql table classes. I use it to read MySQL tables and
pre-format the column descriptions. You can see an example output
here:

I'm porting a system with a lot of tables and to write all $_col's
would take a lot of time; now I just have to fix small things in the
auto-generated definitions. If you have interest in such script, let
me know.
