hi,
i've read the other day that almost al linux distribution that came with php (5.1XX,5.2) doesn't come by default with pdo compiled.
this propably it's a big sign of question, why?
so probably is better that solar will provide support for other database drivers, not only for pdo.
probably, until 1.0 version of solar, the php version required will increase. the important thing will be to keep the api stable.
